Join us on December 10, 2021, to commemorate the graduation of our eighth Master’s cohort. We have three special events planned for the day to celebrate the impressive work of these students. All events will take place on the UT Austin campus. We hope to see you there!

HDO Master’s Commencement 2021 Events:
Practical Applications of the Humanities for the Modern Workplace
December 10, 2021 • 10:00 am-Noon • UT Austin
Each Master’s student produces a Capstone Project that allows them to personalize HDO’s multidisciplinary curriculum and apply it to an issue(s) of their choosing. These projects, which explore the applicability of the humanities and social and behavioral sciences to businesses and nonprofit organizations, serve as a culmination of all the work students have put forth in pursuit of their degree.
The Class of 2021 will be presenting their Capstone Projects to the general public, faculty members, business and nonprofit leaders, advisors, and family members at HDO’s annual Practical Applications of the Humanities for the Modern Workplace event on December 10.
At this event, students present posters that summarize the key points covered in their Capstone Project, answer your questions about their research, and explore how their ideas may be applied to your organization.
Graduation Ceremony

Graduates’ family members, friends, colleagues, and other supporters are invited to join HDO faculty and staff in celebrating the commencement of our Master’s Class of 2021.
Detailed location information and parking recommendations will be sent to all RSVPs prior to graduation day. Please note that seating at the ceremony is limited and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Graduation Dinner
December 10, 2021 • 6:00 pm-8:00 pm • UT Austin
Our graduation dinner is an intimate event allowing graduates to celebrate their achievements with family members, friends, and HDO faculty.
Detailed location information and parking recommendations will be sent to all RSVPs prior to graduation day.
Please note that the graduation dinner is an invitation-only event. As a reminder, graduating students are permitted three guests for dinner, while faculty and advisors are permitted one guest.
