FAQ

Will I need to RSVP?  

Yes. Graduates with an approved graduation application will be emailed a RSVP link to complete.  

Note, the University will be sending additional communication about the University Wide celebration. Additional steps may follow.  

Do I need to wear a cap and gown? If so, where can I buy them? 

You are welcome (and encouraged) to wear a cap and gown. Should you wish to purchase regalia, it can be purchased here. Please note that in order to receive your regalia prior to the Commencement Weekend, orders must be placed by April 29. 

Is there a chance the ceremony will be cancelled and “go-virtual” ? 

As of now, there are no plans to cancel and/or go virtual. We are dedicated to celebrating the Class of 2022 in person as safe as possible.  

What do I need to do to participate in the ceremony? 

In order to participate, graduates need to complete these steps:  

  1. Apply to Graduate (Deadline: May 6, midnight) or sign the walk list if you are a Fall 2021 or Summer 2022 graduate  
  2. Complete COLA RSVP form (Deadline: May 8, midnight) 

Are family and friends invited to attend the ceremony?

Yes, we encourage each graduate to invite family and friends to attend. We ask that each graduate limit their guests to a total of 4 to accommodate everyone.
